ZERO 1 HELMET

More than just a helmet, but a redefining of what head protection can be in football. At a time when the sport needed innovative thinking more than ever, VICIS answered the call. In it’s inaugural year and for 3 years running, the Zero1 topped the Helmet Safety Rankings, consistently outperforming the field when taken through a full battery of aggressive impact testing. Moreover, the Zero1 ignited an industry movement toward the use of higher technology to protect against brain injury, making the sport safer for every player who takes the field.
To break into a crowded market where data-driven performance is king, extensive lab testing was an absolute must. This wasn’t just everyday drop testing. The highest of high-tech evaluation tools were required to gather information critical to drive this truly innovative design.
I ran test development and design verification processes on every component of this helmet.  Along with the design of multiple parts and manufacturing processes, I was also in charge of sustainability testing and reconditioning testing.
